Duncan has 25 years of experience during which time he has been involved with many aspects of property valuation. He has worked in residential, commercial and rating roles providing valuations for a range of property types and brings experience from working within national organisations, corporates and locally owned valuation firms.

Duncan graduated from Napier University in Edinburgh, UK with a BSc (Hons) Estate Management.  After a short period in property management his valuation career commenced in Australia, where he spent 7 years undertaking residential and commercial valuations predominantly for finance purposes. During this time, he was also involved in undertaking rating valuations.

The previous 18 years Duncan has been based in Dunedin and has specialised within the residential and lifestyle sector providing market valuations for finance, sale or purchase, matrimonial, investment and development purposes. His expertise also includes insurance valuations, land valuations for the Natural Hazards Insurance Act and the Public Works Act.

Duncan has gained experience within the wider Southern region including Waitaki, South Otago, Southland and Central Otago property markets.
