An Otago native, Joe brings over 15 years of expertise in commercial, industrial, specialised property and development sectors. His work includes public works act valuations, institutional projects, subdivisions, and large-scale retail and industrial assignments.

Joe began his career in 2009 after completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Valuation and Property Management. His time leading valuation teams within a national brand has strengthened his ability to deliver robust, market-informed advice, now with the flexibility and personal service that Vals NZ offers as a fully independent consultancy firm.

Outside of work, Joe is the President of Cycling Otago and a proud member of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers (NZIV), reflecting his commitment to both community and professional standards.
